Synopsis :

Yin Jia and Tong Tong, two girls freshly graduated from vocational school, live side by side in a small city in southern China. In their impoverished yet joy-filled days, their bond grows ever deeper. Abandoned by her mother at birth, Yin Jia harbors a more complex, fervent affection toward Tong Tong.

When a young man named Chen Wen enters Tong Tong’s life and inspires her to dream of a future in America, Yin Jia’s world begins to collapse. Desperate not to be abandoned once again, she is willing to sacrifice everything to keep Tong Tong by her side. Ultimately, Yin Jia strikes a brutal bargain with Chen Wen—one whose cost far exceeds anything they could have imagined.
